Shared from Manual Magazine, thanks Dave Read for bringing this to the attention of NZ skateboarders.
Manual Magazine
To all skateboarders in the Greater Wellington area, and especially users of the existing Whitby Skate Park (which is due to be demolished), can you please give us some feedback on this. Check out the link and tell us your thoughts about the design. Do you think this is what a modern skate park should look like? Because we think it’s far from a relevant or good design for skateboarding. If you were part of the user group who consulted on this design, please let us know who drafted these designs before they get set in concrete because (and I feel we’ve not alone in saying this) this is NOT a good skate park design.
Get Involved. The next public meeting to discuss designs and progress of the skatepark will be at St Mary’s Church on May 15, 7pm.

where is the halfpie & bowl, a skate park is not complete without a kick ass bowl and ramp, in fact a bowl and ramp is all you need, street stuff is found on the street.
