It’s just a huge expanse pf concrete and not that much else. Some pretty fun stuff and a way better way to pass the time while waiting for the ferry than acquiring food poisoning from the dodgy chippers.

Skated here when taking a road trip from wellington to chch. Spent a good hour here and had a good time. The little manual box is good for small jump tricks. It has a 3 stair and 4 stair I think a small handrail too.
Didnt skate the small bowl or ramp much, just jumped around a bit. Dont forget the mini bank down the far end. good for fakie tricks
i skated on here a few months back while waiting for the ferry. i had both my skateboard and longboard. i found it a little too spacious and the far ramp was a little cramped. but aside from that it was good. i had more fun on my longboard than my skateboard
How on earth does this park get such good ratings. Was there the night before the ferry and had heaps of stones, broken glass and other crap all over. Was no fun at all and left after 20 min.
really don’t know how i missed this park its huge compared to picton. spent a few days there waiting for the kiwi bus to nelson. will have to hit it up before i get the ferry back to the north.
i guess the broken glass and stones could have been from a drunken night out or something, usually the case with small town parks as alcohol is banned from the waterfront.
